Background
When I left university, I began my career in marketing management and quickly found I love working directly with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and industries. I soon wanted to spend most of my working day working with people. This naturally took me into recruitment where I’ve stayed ever since!
For four years I managed large industrial recruitment contracts. It was my responsibility to make sure we had around 400 temporary to permanent workers across 7 different sites at any one time. It was a great experience, but I felt that a more specialist position in a more professional client environment was the natural progression. I made the move to CRA, began work within the legal profession and have never looked back.
Within the legal profession my real specialism is support roles within all practice areas. The roles I tend to recruit for include legal assistants, junior/case support paralegals, legal advisors, legal administrators, anti-money laundering analysts, conflicts analysts, legal secretaries, executive assistants, personal assistants, claims handlers and back-office staff, for example facilities management.
I also provide career advice/guidance for law graduates to help them work out the career path they want to follow.
Outside of work
Outside the office I enjoy watching and commentating (badly) on football, boxing or any other sport that’s on in the pub in between cooking and eating plenty of good food and going to the gym (to counteract the effects of the good food). I also watch bands and comedy live whenever I can.
