My client is a leading professional services firm with an established network of offices across Yorkshire and Derbyshire. An experienced assistant accountant is required to support the Company Accountant on all aspects of accounts for the organisation. This will include accounts and administrative support focussed on bank transactions, purchase ledger and some assistance with accounts preparation. Key responsibilities include:

•    Maintain purchase ledger including entering invoices into Sage line 50 , chasing managers for authorisation
•    Updated daily banking and bank reconciliations
•    Assist with month end journals including payroll 
•    Involvement in daily cashflow forecasts 
•    Maintain the fixed asset register 

The Person 
•    You will already have a good grounding in transactional finance with a basic understanding of journals , profit and loss and balance sheets
•    You will be forward thinking with an analytical approach 
•    You will have a good knowledge of Sage line 50 and Microsoft office 365 and excel , knowledge of Xero is desirable
