Position: Associate in Serious Injury
Location: Wakefield, with Hybrid Working
Salary Range: £45,000 to £68,000
One of the UK’s prominent litigation firms is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Serious Injury team at the Associate level. This position is an excellent fit for candidates boasting over three years of experience managing a personal caseload of Employer’s Liability/ Public Liability (EL/PL) and Road Traffic Accident (RTA) matters. We welcome applications from Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, and those qualified by experience. Prior exposure to serious injury work would serve as a significant advantage.

Role responsibilities:
• Independently manage case files, maintaining consistent communication with clients, team leaders, and medical experts.
• Evaluate case success potential considering liability and evidence collection, ready to pursue litigation as necessary.
• Collaborate directly with Counsel, Solicitors, insurers, and courts on your case files.
• Prepare for trials by identifying evidence to substantiate heads of damage, loss of earnings, and care and assistance arguments.
• Play a crucial role in the team, attending regular meetings and reporting any file issues to your Team Leader.
• Develop strong, beneficial relationships with your clients, exhibiting commercial acumen in all correspondences.
Candidate requirements
: • Over three years of experience managing your own caseload of EL/PL and RTA matters.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a firm understanding of legal concepts with robust drafting skills.
• Exceptional client care skills, as your clientele will encompass individuals with diverse needs.
