Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor with a strong claimant focus to join a dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex clinical negligence cases, delivering exceptional client care, and achieving outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, including but not limited to misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, surgical errors, and birth injuries.
Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients throughout the claims process, ensuring their best interests are protected.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their individual circumstances.
Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to gather evidence and build robust cases.
Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurers, striving for the best possible outcome for clients.
Represent clients in court proceedings when necessary, presenting persuasive arguments and effectively advocating on their behalf.
Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and paralegals, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and expertise.
Continuously expand knowledge of clinical negligence law and relevant industry changes to maintain exceptional legal expertise.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to share knowledge, contribute to business development initiatives, and enhance the reputation of the practice.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files and client records.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in clinical negligence, with a strong emphasis on claimant work.
Demonstrable experience in managing complex clinical negligence cases, with a track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess case merits and risks effectively.
Adept at working under pressure and managing multiple cases simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and organization.
A commitment to delivering exceptional client care, with the ability to empathize and understand the needs of clients in difficult circumstances.
A team player with the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the overall success of the practice.
