Commercial Litigation Paralegal
Salary – up to £21000 per annum

The Commercial Litigation Paralegal is responsible for the collection and recording of initial witness evidence to support the Client’s Claim.
Primary Duties
Inputting Questionnaire details in the Client’s draft Witness Statement
• Conducting a review of the Client’s file prior to Witness Statement Appointments
• Conducting a detailed telephone appointment with the Client to obtain further details to draft the Witness Statement
• Accurately assessing prospects of the Clients claim follow the statement appointment and referring as necessary
• Drafting the Client’s Witness Statement
• Corresponding with the Client in respect of their Witness Statement
• Engaging with the Client for approval of the Witness Statement Actioning any
necessary amendments in respect of the Witness Statement
• Record receipt of the Client’s Guarantee Paperwork and Special Documents
• Engaging with the Client to chase for information and engagement where required
• All necessary calls and correspondence to support and prepare the Client’s
Witness Statement and review and prepare the file for progression to Letter of Claim stage
• Date of knowledge calls
• Printing and post for the team (when in the office)
Attributes and competencies required
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public
• English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent)
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads in a fast paced office environment
• Must be a team player with a flexible approach to working as some evening work might be required to meet the Client’s needs
• Capability to work to strict deadlines and undertake all assignments in a timely manner
Desirable
• Graduate Diploma/Degree in field relevant to Legal Services
• Previous experience of use of Proclaim Case Management Software
• Previous administrative experience including excellent client care skills
across different platforms, including telephone, email and written correspondence
• Knowledge of the Limitation Act 1980
• Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection
