Job Title: Compliance Manager for Prestigious Legal Services Firm (Remote, Future Hybrid)

Salary Range: £35,000 to £48,000

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the custodian of business compliance, offering guidance on diverse areas of legal and regulatory adherence, with a specific focus on the guidelines and codes of conduct outlined by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer comprehensive compliance advice, particularly regarding SRA codes of conduct, operational governance, data protection, complaints handling, anti-money laundering measures, professional indemnity insurance, and negligence claims
- Draft and review policies and procedures pertaining to the business
- Advise on data protection matters concerning the business
- Conduct thorough audits and file reviews
- Oversee the renewal of all professional certificates and policy renewals
- Act as a primary point of contact for investigating regulatory breaches, reporting these as necessary
- Handle any internal complaints or issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent experience, with a background in advising on SRA regulatory standards
- Previous experience in a legal operations, regulatory, and/or compliance role
- In-depth understanding of data protection issues and procedures
- Ability to manage others and build rapport with team members
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence and professionalism
