They are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a New Build Conveyancing Assistant. Job Summary:
As a New Build Conveyancing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the New Build Conveyancing team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of new build property transactions. You will be working closely with Conveyancing Solicitors, clients, and external stakeholders to facilitate the process from start to finish, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and completion of all necessary legal documents, including contracts, leases, and transfer deeds, for new build property transactions.
* Conduct thorough searches and investigations to ensure all necessary checks are carried out, such as land registry searches, local authority searches, and environmental searches.
* Liaise with clients, developers, and other relevant parties to obtain necessary information and documentation required for the conveyancing process.
* Provide regular updates and communicate progress to clients and other stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
* Manage the exchange and completion process, including the timely transfer of funds and coordination of key dates and deadlines.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, both electronically and in physical files, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
* Assist with post-completion matters, such as registering property transactions with the Land Registry and dealing with any outstanding issues or queries.
* Handle general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing appointment schedules.
* Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and conveyancing practices, ensuring compliance and best practices are followed.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a conveyancing or legal support role is highly desirable, with a specific focus on new build property transactions.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients, solicitors, and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
* Proficiency in using case management systems and other relevant software applications.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and procedures relating to residential conveyancing, particularly in the context of new build properties.
* A willingness to learn and develop new skills within the conveyancing field.
