Job Title: Dispute Resolution Litigator
Location: Rotherham, UK
Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispute Resolution Litigator to join our team in Rotherham. As a Litigator, you will be responsible for handling a diverse range of dispute resolution matters, including contract disputes, negligence claims, and property disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on legal matters and providing guidance on the best course of action to take.
- Managing a varied caseload of disputes, including pre-action correspondence, issuing and defending proceedings, and drafting legal documents such as pleadings and witness statements.
- Conducting legal research and keeping up-to-date with relevant case law and legislation.
- Attending court hearings and conducting negotiations with opposing parties.
- Liaising with clients, experts, and other professionals to ensure the smooth progress of cases.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in dispute resolution.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation, dispute resolution procedures, and relevant case law and legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail.
