An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading Family Law Department in the East Midlands. The firm in question has a fantastic reputation locally for the legal services it provides and are looking to recruit a Family Law Legal Executive or Solicitor to join their existing team in their Chesterfield office. The role:

Working alongside other Family law professionals, you will run your own caseload and advise clients of the firm on a wide range of Family Law matters.

The person:

You will ideally:

* Have already gained a large amount of experience working in a Family law team and therefore be able to 'hit the ground running' with an existing caseload;
* Have had a good degree of exposure to a wide range of family law work previously, including Legal Aid and privately funded work;
* Have plenty of experience meeting with and advising clients and assisting them through the family law legal process and have practical experience of the advocacy and practical processes that are involved;
* Be able to communicate clearly and efficiently to clients and assist them in often emotional circumstances, showing the highest levels of client care at all times;
* Be confident at drafting legal paperwork and be able to negotiate on your clients behalf with third parties;
* Be confident with a range of IT packages including legal case management systems and Microsoft office packages; and
* Be a confident legal researcher and be able to utilise current case law and legislation to ensure you provide the most accurate advice.
