Sheffield City Centre (potential for hybrid working)
My client is a well-established law firm based in Sheffield, S1. They are looking for an experienced finance assistant to join their team. Ideally you will have two to five years legal office administration experience and be looking to join this niche firm.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administering the disbursement process to include: managing the collation of invoices, processing disbursements to purchase ledger and processing claims from the legal aid agency.
* Processing the monthly billing cycle for local authority work
* Processing monthly interim bills, Public law outline bills and payments on account
* Administering completed files for billing promptly and accurately
* processing staff expense claims
* General administrative tasks e.g filing scanning and photocopying
* Participation in the firms reception rota
* Ensuring compliance with SRA accounts rules , LAA's standard contract and the SRA code of conduct .
The Person
* You will have between some experience of legal administration work and be looking to develop this.
* Knowledge of legal aid would be idea but not essential
* Excellent varied role within a busy firm
