Job Title: Financial Mis-Selling Litigator
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Financial Mis-Selling Litigator to join a well-established law firm based in Sheffield. As a Financial Mis-Selling Litigator, you will be responsible for handling complex cases relating to financial mis-selling, including mis-sold pensions, mortgages, and other financial products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling a caseload of financial mis-selling cases from inception to conclusion
- Conducting negotiations with third parties including financial institutions and regulatory bodies
- Drafting legal documentation and court papers
- Providing excellent client care and building strong relationships with clients
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and case law
- Attending court hearings and mediations where necessary
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in handling financial mis-selling cases
- A strong academic record, ideally including a 2:1 or above in law or a related subject
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage a high workload
- A strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide commercially-sound advice to clients
