Job Title: Head of Family Law Department
Location: Barnsley, UK
Salary: £40,000 – £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

They are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Family Law Department to lead the Family Law team.
Responsibilities: As the Head of Family Law Department, you will be responsible for:

Leading and managing the Family Law team: a. Overseeing the daily operations of the department. b. Mentoring, supervising, and developing team members. c. Implementing and maintaining systems and processes for efficient case management. d. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.

Business development and client relationship management: a. Developing and implementing a strategic plan for the growth of the Family Law practice. b. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. c. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. d. Representing the firm at industry events and conferences, and contributing to the firm’s thought leadership.

Providing expert legal advice and representation: a. Handling a caseload of complex and high-value family law matters. b. Advising on divorce and separation, financial settlements, child custody and support, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and related issues. c. Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings. d. Ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of service and the best possible outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in family law, with a proven track record of success in handling complex cases.
- Demonstrable experience in managing a team of legal professionals, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong business development skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills, with a commitment to providing the highest standard of client care.
