Salary: £80,000 – £120,000 basic plus bonus

This is a well-established and highly reputable law firm with a strong presence throughout the UK. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Family Law to establish and lead a new Family Law Department based in the Sheffield office.
Job Description:
As the Head of Family Law, you will play a critical role in leading and expanding the Family Law practice. You will be responsible for creating a robust department from scratch, delivering excellent client service, and driving the strategic growth of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Family Law Department.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of family law practitioners.
- Maintain a caseload of complex and high-net-worth family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, child custody, and pre/post-nuptial agreements.
- Foster and cultivate relationships with clients, ensuring high standards of client care.
- Lead business development activities to grow the department’s client base and reputation.
- Liaise with other departments within the firm to provide holistic services to clients.
- Ensure compliance with all legal professional standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Solicitor qualified to practice in the UK, with substantial experience in family law.
- Proven track record in successfully managing a Family Law team or department.
- Excellent understanding of the Family Law Act and related legislation.
- Proven business development skills and ability to cultivate professional relationships.
- Superior leadership, management, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent client care skills with a focus on delivering high standards of service.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
