CRA Consulting, on behalf of our prestigious client – a prominent law firm in the East Midlands with a significant presence in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire – is delighted to announce an opening for a qualified HR Manager. This opening arises due to a forthcoming retirement, presenting a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional.

About the Role:

As a full-time, generalist HR Manager, you will be playing a pivotal role in a dynamic business environment, poised for further expansion. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures to support the firm’s strategic goals.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to Senior and Line Managers in all HR-related activities.
  • Enhancing the performance review program and leading recruitment activities, including liaison with agency partners.
  • Building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline at all organizational levels.
  • Updating and managing the Employee Handbook and HR protocols.
  • Overseeing employee relations and performance management processes.
  • Contributing to the training strategy and supporting line managers in employee development.
  • Managing online platforms for employee engagement, recognition, and leave management.
  • Producing insightful monthly HR reports and maintaining accurate HR records.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably with recruitment exposure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current employment law.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing various generalist HR processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and coach managers effectively.
  • Car ownership and willingness to travel across East Midlands locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
