Role: In-House Legal Counsel (Temporary – 6 Months)
Location: Work from home reports into Manchester
Salary: £375 to £400 per day
Role Overview:
A prestigious client is seeking an In-House Specialist Solicitor to handle legal tasks related to one primary legal discipline (either employment, disputes/litigation, or property). The selected candidate will not only manage key legal assignments but also support fellow solicitors and colleagues within the same specialty area, interacting across diverse business sectors.
Compensation:
Offering a competitive day rate between £375 and £400, contingent upon experience and expertise. PLease note this role is fully remote and but may require some presence in the first week in the office in Manchester,
Primary Responsibilities:

Legal Work Execution:
- Manage a variety of legal issues, ensuring all tasks are executed in a timely manner, maintain top-quality standards, and adhere to the stipulated budget.
- Authenticate and, when necessary, verify the quality of external work to align with the company’s risk appetite.
- Stay updated with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requirements and perpetually hone your legal skills.

Collaboration & Communication:
- Dedicate a portion of your time assisting team members in your specialty area.
- Engage and liaise with various business units and functions.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, offering specialized knowledge to solve challenges.

Operational Efficiency:
- Maintain a structured management system for real-time, accurate data.
- Employ innovative technology to enhance the efficiency of the legal department.
- Establish and maintain tools in your area of specialty to foster streamlined operations.

Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
- Build networks with external solicitors to grasp diverse approaches in legal problem-solving.

Mentorship & Guidance:
- Play an active role in uplifting the knowledge base of the entire legal team.
- Offer insights and updates on the latest trends in your legal specialization.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Practicing Certificate.
- Demonstrable pertinent business experience.
- Profound legal knowledge in either property, disputes/litigation, or employment law, with experience in diverse sectors.
- Proven track record in intricate stakeholder environments.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
