Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience

This position calls for a Law Costs Draftsman who is adept at handling a comprehensive range of costs-related tasks in various areas of law, including the complexities of legal aid work. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring meticulous costs management and recovery, embodying the precision and expertise the firm is renowned for.
- Crafting detailed Bills of Costs across an array of legal disciplines.
- Formulating Costs Budgets and providing strategic costs management advice.
- Engaging in negotiations and settling costs efficiently.
- Processing Legal Aid Agency bills in adherence to statutory guidelines.
- Advising solicitors on cost recovery tactics.
- Remaining up-to-date with changes in costs law and regulations.
- Previous experience in a Law Costs Draftsman role.
- Strong grasp of the CPR and cost processes.
- Experience in Legal Aid cases is highly desirable.
- Competence in CostsMaster or equivalent software.
- Excellent negotiation skills and acute attention to detail.
- Qualification as a Costs Lawyer is beneficial, though not essential.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team.
