Location: Sheffield
Salary: £21,000 - £25,000 per annum
CRA Consulting are currently seeking a Wills and Probate Legal Secretary for our client, a reputable multi-service law firm based in Sheffield. Our client is looking for an experienced legal secretary to provide high-quality support to their Wills and Probate team.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting fee earners in the Wills and Probate department with all secretarial and administrative duties
* Drafting and preparing correspondence, legal documents, and other paperwork
* Answering phone calls and emails, dealing with client enquiries and taking messages
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and documents
* Liaising with other parties involved in the wills and probate process, such as the Probate Registry, executors, and beneficiaries
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings
* Undertaking legal research and keeping up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
* Assisting in the administration of estates
* Any other secretarial and administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a legal secretary, preferably in a Wills and Probate department
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and other professionals
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and legal software
* A good understanding of the legal processes involved in Wills and Probate matters
