Job Title: Litigation Executive – Public Law
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Full Time or Part Time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 (however is negotiable DOE)

If successful, you will perform the following role as a Litigation Executive – Public Law:

Case Management:
- Analyse and evaluate potential actions against public authority cases, assessing their viability and legal merit.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support the development of effective case strategies.
- Manage a caseload of actions against public authority cases, ensuring deadlines and court appearances are met.

Client Representation:
- Provide expert legal advice to clients, explaining their rights, potential legal remedies, and the process involved in pursuing actions against public authorities.
- Draft legal documents, including complaints, applications for judicial review, and correspondence with relevant authorities.
- Represent clients in court proceedings (if possible / qualified to do so), hearings, and negotiations, presenting compelling arguments and advocating for their interests.
- Instructing barristers and council on matters

Legal Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on developments in public law, human rights, and administrative law to ensure a thorough understanding of relevant legal principles and precedents.
- Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation, identify legal issues, and anticipate potential challenges.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues, including solicitors, barristers, and paralegals, to build strong case strategies and ensure comprehensive representation for clients.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, legal strategies, and potential outcomes.

Advocacy and Court Appearances:
- Represent / support clients in court hearings, oral arguments, and other legal proceedings with professionalism and poise.
- Prepare witnesses for testimony and cross-examination, ensuring they are well-equipped to present their accounts effectively.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and organised case files, documenting all interactions, correspondence, and legal documents related to each case.
- Provide regular reports to senior colleagues and partners on case progress, challenges, and potential strategies.
