An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our West Yorkshire clients, for an experienced Team Leader to join the Serious Injury Department to lead and support a team of paralegals, focussing predominantly on the operational running of the department. This is a full time and permanent role, based in Wakefield.

The Role

Working alongside and supporting the Team Manager, you will help supervise caseloads within your team to ensure that cases progress effectively, whilst also ensuring that the team are meeting their targets and performance objectives and providing the best level of service to clients.

The Person

Ideally you will:

* Have a proven track-record of successfully leading and managing colleagues and team performance from an operational perspective;
* Have previous experience of supervising others;
* Have excellent client care skills with previous client contact experience;
* Have some knowledge of the Personal Injury Claims process, although this is not essential;
* Have the ability to follow Company process / guidelines & make appropriate decisions;
* Have previous experience of providing supervision and feedback to colleagues including conducting 1-2-1's, personal development plans and performance reviews;
* Have previous experience of sharing knowledge and guidance to help ensure colleagues progress;
* Have excellent knowledge of all legislation, rules and protocols in this area of law;
* Be a good figurehead and team leader who can lead with integrity and be respectful of the views of your team whilst also successfully motivating colleagues;
* Have excellent interpersonal skills for liaising both with your team and your clients;
* Be comfortable delivering training programmes to colleagues;
* Have previous experience using electronic case management systems and have good IT skills;
* Be flexible in approach with a solution-focused and "can do" attitude, whilst being robust enough to deal with changing circumstances and sometimes challenging situations;
* Be prepared to be accountable for your own actions and decisions; and
* Be willing to research and use new technologies when needed.
