Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wills and Probate Solicitor to join a prestigious legal firm operating within a large ABS structure. As a Senior Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional legal services in the area of wills and probate. - Manage a complex caseload of wills and probate matters, ensuring efficient and effective handling of each case from inception to completion.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on wills, estate administration, inheritance tax planning, trusts, and related areas.
- Draft and review wills, powers of attorney, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research to stay up to date with changes in legislation and case law affecting wills and probate matters, applying this knowledge to provide sound and strategic advice.
- Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and external stakeholders, such as banks, insurance companies, and government agencies, to gather necessary information and ensure smooth progress of cases.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement meetings as required, representing clients effectively and advocating their best interests.
- Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and support staff, providing guidance and fostering their professional development.
- Contribute to business development activities, including networking, building client relationships, and participating in marketing initiatives to promote the firm's services.
- Qualified solicitor with a strong background in wills and probate, preferably with a minimum of 5 years in probate.
- Solid knowledge of wills, probate, estate administration, inheritance tax, trusts, and related areas of law.
- Proven experience in managing a varied and complex caseload independently, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in drafting legal documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Experience in mentoring and supervising junior solicitors and support staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Proactive approach to staying updated with changes in legislation and case law, and ability to apply this knowledge to client matters.
