Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and efficient legal research on RTA cases, including relevant legislation, case law, and precedents.
- Handle a caseload of RTA matters, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
- Provide professional legal advice and guidance to clients on all aspects of RTA claims, including liability, damages, and insurance coverage.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including court pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Collaborate closely with clients, medical experts, and other relevant parties to gather evidence and build a strong case.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including pre-trial hearings, negotiations, and trials.
- Conduct negotiations and settlements with opposing parties, insurers, and third-party representatives.
- Stay up to date with changes in RTA law and regulations, attending training sessions and continuing professional development activities as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
Requirements:
- LLB or equivalent degree in Law; Legal Practice Course (LPC) qualification preferred.
- Proven experience as an RTA Lawyer, handling a caseload of RTA claims from inception to conclusion.
- Sound knowledge of RTA law, legislation, and case precedents.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify key legal issues and develop effective legal strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients in court proceedings and settlement discussions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing multiple cases.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Adherence to professional ethics and standards of conduct.
