Job Title: Senior Associate Solicitor – Commercial Property
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (with travel to other West Yorkshire offices as needed)
Salary Range: £50,000 – £85,000

Head of Commercial Property Department
Job Overview:
A prestigious regional law firm in West Yorkshire seeks an experienced Senior Associate Solicitor with a specialism in Commercial Property. Based in Leeds, the successful candidate will act as the number two to the Head of the Commercial Property Department. This role is central to the department’s success, offering legal expertise in commercial property matters, strategic departmental guidance, and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal advice on a wide range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development, and financing.
  • Act as a deputy to the Head of Department, assisting in the leadership and strategic direction of the commercial property team.
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and legal staff within the commercial property division.
  • Manage a diverse and complex commercial property caseload with efficiency and expertise.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring outstanding client service and satisfaction.
  • Lead and contribute to business development activities specific to commercial property law.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and firm standards in all commercial property transactions.
  • Travel to other firm offices in West Yorkshire as necessary for client engagement and case management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in commercial property law.
  • Proven track record in a senior role within a commercial property legal practice.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of client care and business development.
  • Professionalism and adherence to ethical practices in legal matters.
  • Willingness to travel as part of the role.
