Position Available: Senior Associate – Employment Law
Location: Leeds (Hybrid)
Salary: £58,000 to £78,000
About the role
A fantastic new opening has become available for a talented and ambitious Senior Associate within this thriving prestigious law firm. Applicants should have at least 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) and have a passion for assisting clients with employment law related issues.
This role entails offering support to a diverse clientele that includes prominent corporations, well-known local enterprises, rapidly growing small and medium-sized businesses, as well as high-net-worth individuals across numerous sectors.
There is a good strong mix of respondent and claimant work but there will be adefiante emphasis on respondent work. The responsibilities involved are multi-faceted and include:
- Dealing with contentious and non-contentious matters, as well as general advisory tasks
- Managing your personal caseload and client relationships, understanding their unique needs, and nurturing new and existing connections
- Covering a wide range of employment matters, aiding our transactional teams including corporate, commercial, and business restructuring and insolvency squads
- Offering assistance to senior colleagues on intricate issues while also providing guidance and supervision to Associates and Trainee Solicitors
- Participating in business development initiatives
- Creating and executing in-person and virtual training and presentations

What We Need:
To succeed in this role, you should currently be working as an employment law specialist within a busy, well-respected employment department with at least 5 years PQE. The ability to forge strong internal and external relationships is crucial.
The firm primarily work for employers rather than claimants, so candidates with experience in representing employers are particularly welcome. Any knowledge of industrial relations would be beneficial, but not essential.

This role is based in Leeds, and offers the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.
About the Team:
The team is comprised of ten distinguished lawyers who are consistently recognised in Chambers and the Legal 500. They pride themselves on providing pragmatic and commercially-focused advice to clients on complex issues. The primary goal is to ensure early intervention, minimise risk, and protect the clients’ interests.
