The Role
We are looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor to join this growing team. This role is a full-time position and consideration will be given to individuals who have at least 3 year's experience. You will report to the Head of the Department and will be based in the Sheffield office.

Knowledge & Experience
*
Responsibility for management of own caseload of both Respondent and Applicant work from commencement to conclusion;
* Representation at Tribunal including advocacy services;
* Consideration of settlement options in the client's best interests; taking into consideration the client's circumstances and assessments of quantum following review of legislation and developing case law;
* To manage all client work expeditiously and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the practice's office manual. This includes allocating work to yourself and others where necessary; complying with ACAS deadlines; Tribunal Limitations and any other relevant time limits for matters including discrimination; Equality Act; Stress at work (personal injury).
* To consider various funding options with clients, including (but not limited to) CFA;s DBA's; Private retainers; insurance policies; trade union funding.
* To keep clients fully up-to-date in both oral and written communications which are to be contemporaneously recorded on the electronic case management system. To accurately record attendances and preparation notes
* To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations and to develop new working relationships to grow and expand the department to generate increased revenue.
* To undertake any specific training when required to do so and take responsibility for own self-development - this includes at least 16 hours of Continuing Professional Development to be recorded for annual review.
* In liaison with Head of Department and other directors, to be active in promoting the services of the practice and its image and ethos.
* To carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the Directors.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines. Good communication and IT skills are essential as is managing expectations across a wide range of competing needs. Attention to detail, a good work ethic and a willingness to cover a variety of tasks.
