The Role
Working alongside and supporting the Team Manager, you will help supervise caseloads within your team and provide coaching and guidance to colleagues whilst also ensuring that operationally the team are meeting their targets and performance objectives.
The Person
Ideally you will:
* Have a solid technical knowledge and understanding of Personal Injury/RTA work;
* Considerable experience (approximately 8 years or more) working on multi-track claims with a value of £25,000 - £200,000 upwards;
* Previous experience of providing supervision and feedback to colleagues including conducting 1-2-1's, personal development plans and performance reviews;
* Previous experience of sharing knowledge and guidance to help ensure colleagues progress;
* Excellent knowledge of all legislation, rules and protocols in this area of law;
* Excellent numerical skills and the ability to prioritise work quickly and accurately and to sometimes tight deadlines;
* Be a good figurehead and team leader who can lead with integrity and be respectful of the views of your team whilst also successfully motivating colleagues;
* Have excellent interpersonal skills for liaising both with your team and your clients;
* Be comfortable delivering training programmes to colleagues;
* Have previous experience using electronic case management systems and have good IT skills;
* Be flexible in approach with a solution-focused and "can do" attitude, whilst being robust enough to deal with changing circumstances and sometimes challenging situations;
* Be prepared to be accountable for your own actions and decisions; and
* Be willing to research and use new technologies when needed.
