An opportunity has now arisen for a Private Client Legal Associate/Paralegal to join the Legal Support Team. This role is seen as a pathway for the right candidate to progress to Trainee Private Client Lawyer. Our Client has an accredited training programme to support employees in their training and development to achieve STEP, and other equivalent, qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support in the efficient running of client matters
  • Manage client queries
  • Setup matters and ensure all initial compliance processes are completed
  • Drafting of bespoke client care letters
  • Drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
  • Managing the LPA signing and registration process
  • Drafting of standard Wills
  • Supporting the legal team in the preparation and drafting of probate documents, letters and forms
  • Chasing clients and institutions to ensure that matters are progressed in a timely manner
  • Dealing with financial requisitions on matters
  • First point of contact for our introducer network, answering their queries regarding our service and the progression of any matters they have referred to us

Skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Organised and genuinely enthusiastic about delivering the best possible service for our clients.
  • Previous legal experience within a Will and Probate department
  • Used case management systems and is comfortable with using new systems and software platforms, including Microsoft applications
  • The ability to build strong client relationships
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Experience in managing and organising their own workload
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
