CRA Consulting have been instructed by a leading Derbyshire law firm, who are looking to recruit an additional Childcare Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their busy Childcare Law Department in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional in this area of law to join a friendly yet professional regional firm.

The Role:

Working alongside other experienced Childcare specialists, you will advise clients of the firm on a range of Childcare Law matters.

The Person:

You will ideally:

  • Have a good degree of experience working in this field of law;
  • Be familiar with court procedures and protocol relating to this field of law including Legal Aid/CCMS, PLOs and care proceedings;
  • Have Children Panel accreditation or ideally be looking to secure panel accreditation in the near future;
  • Have excellent advocacy skills;
  • Be able to communicate clearly and efficiently to clients and assist them in often emotional circumstances, showing the highest levels of client care at all times;
  • Be confident at drafting legal paperwork and be able to negotiate on your clients behalf with third parties;
  • Be confident with a range of IT packages including legal case management systems and Microsoft office packages; and
  • Be a confident legal researcher and be able to utilise current case law and legislation to ensure you provide the most accurate advice.
