Remortgage Assistant

Salary: £18,500 – £22,000
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Due to further continued expansion, a Remortgage assistant is required to play a case handling role in a successful Conveyancing team in Sheffield. The law firm is award winning law firm with offices office across the country and a modern approach to the conveyancing process.

The Opportunity:
* Joining a team of industry leading specialist Residential Conveyancing lawyers, you will progress your own caseload of remortgage files from start to completion.
* You will have a hands on role, liaising with Lenders and drafting documentation.
* Our client provides a friendly and sociable working environment where a strong work life balance is promoted.
* You will work in an established team and have clear support from a team leader
Responsibilities:
* In order to be considered, you must have a background in Remortgage files and be able to run your own files from start to completion.
* The role would suit someone looking for a long term career in Remortgage or Residential Conveyancing.
* Prioritise workload, ensuring that all deadlines and targets are met
* Drafting re-mortgage and transfer of equity documentation as required by the Property Lawyer.
* Dealing with Lenders, checking redemption statements, mortgage offers and dealing with the financial calculations relating to the same as required by the Property Lawyer.
* Obtaining initial documentation.
* Administrative duties relating to the title checks/title reports.
* Assisting solicitors in reviewing files
* Reviewing and reporting on mortgages.
Required attributes:
* A minimum of 6 months experience of running a high-volume caseload
* You will be tech-savvy to fit in with the client’s needs
* Ability to work individually and collaboratively
* Good communication skills
