About the firm and Role:
Our client, a leading Yorkshire and Derbyshire law firm are looking to recruit a Residential conveyancer to join their team in their Sheffield office. This is a full time, permanent position. You will be joining an established and successful firm with residential conveyancing at the forefront of the firm’s success. The firm has an excellent culture mixing the professional nature that they have been known for for just shy of 70 years with a family run practice.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters, advising clients from the start to the conclusion of their cases;
Meeting with clients of the firm and advising them on their matters;
Liaising with third party intermediaries and other parties to the transaction in order to progress matters;
Tracking and managing your clients cases on the case management system and following billing procedures when necessary; and
Drafting all necessary legal paperwork and negotiating on behalf of your client.
About You:
- You will ideally have approximately 3 years+ experience handling a wide range of residential property matters including leasehold matters and will have a good technical and working knowledge of conveyancing practices and procedures;
- You will have the ability to manage your own caseload of residential property matters from start to finish with minimal supervision, using your own initiative when required;
- You will be confident with a variety of IT packages including specific conveyancing systems and portals;
- You will be able to work both independently whilst also being a team player;
- You will be an organised candidate who can work in often time sensitive and high pressured situations whilst having the ability to remain calm;
- You will have excellent attention to detail; and
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skill and be committed to providing the highest level of client care at all times.
