Role Overview:

  • Case Management: Handle a broad range of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, domestic violence, cohabitation disputes, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Client Interaction: Offer compassionate and professional legal advice, ensuring clients are well-informed and supported throughout their case.
  • Court Representation: Represent clients effectively in family courts, preparing and presenting cases to secure favourable outcomes.
  • Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and file essential legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, statements, and agreements.
  • Negotiation: Mediate and negotiate settlements and agreements between parties, focusing on achieving amicable resolutions.
  • Legal Research: Perform detailed legal research to support case preparation and stay abreast of current developments in family law.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, including paralegals and support staff, to ensure efficient case management.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with legal standards and firm policies, safeguarding confidentiality at all times.
  • Client Development: Support the firm’s business development by nurturing client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family law matters, delivering expert advice and representation. This role requires a solicitor who is empathetic, detail-oriented, and highly skilled in navigating the complexities of family law.

Required Application Criteria:

  • You will be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive
  • You will ideally have 2+ years post qualification experience, however newly qualified legal professionals may be considered
  • You will require experience handling a diverse caseload of private family law matters including matrimonial, finances, children and family estate /business disputes
