Job Title: Wills and Probate Lawyer
Location: Mansfield, Derbyshire
Salary: £32500 – £53000 per annum
Benefits: 25 days plus stats holidays, contributory pension scheme, annual bonus
We are recruiting for a regional law firm with offices throughout Derbyshire, and seeking an experienced Wills and Probate Lawyer to join the team in Mansfield. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years pqe and STEP qualifications would be an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of wills and probate matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.
- Advise clients on inheritance tax and estate planning matters.
- Administer estates, including obtaining grants of probate, collecting assets, and distributing them to beneficiaries.
- Attend meetings with clients, take instructions, and provide advice in a professional and friendly manner.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, as well as firm policies and procedures.
- Contribute to business development activities and help to raise the profile of the firm.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor or legal executive with at least 2 years pqe in wills and probate.
- STEP qualifications would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Client-focused approach and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
